Our Free Primary healthcare program will eliminate financial burdens- Mahama


John Mahama who is the presidential candidate for New Democratic Congress has said that his promise to offer free healthcare to Ghanaians if he wins the 2020 presidential elections.

It’s the aim of the country to attain we call universal healthcare, unfortunately, our national health insurance scheme makes it hard for the country to achieve this goal former president Mahama added.

He continues to say that the next NDC government will implement free healthcare for all under a special arrangement and manage by NHIA

Let me point it out that with this program, all Ghanaians can access primary healthcare for free at all health centers ie CHIPS compound, polyclinics, and regional hospitals with or without national health insurance card. He was speaking at a durbar at wa in the upper west region.

On the cost, Alex Segbefia the duty campaign manager of the NDC said that the cost of free primary health care they promise will cost $18 million.
